
Inmates from the St. Catherine Adult Correctional Centre received medical treatment courtesy of the Health Through Walls Medical Missions on June 3,
2019. The Health through Walls (HtW) team of Doctors, nurses and other medical professionals from Jamaica and the United States visited the St. Catherine Adult Correctional Centre in Spanish Town.
Inmates were given regular medical check-ups as well as testing for infectious and contagious diseases, as well as Glucose, and Blood Pressure test. Inmates were also provided with medications based on their conditions.

Correctional Centres as they conduct exams, treatment and other services towards the prevention, identification, and treatment of infectious and
contagious diseases.
Each year HtW joins faculty and students of NOVA Southeastern University’s (NSU) medical, dental, pharmacy, physical therapy, and optometry schools for
annual medical missions to Jamaica. The Department of Correctional Services has been partnering with HtW for over 20 years
